Barrack maintained continuous, close email contact with Epstein for years after Epstein's 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor. In September 2009, months after Epstein's release from jail, Barrack wrote to Epstein: 'Thinking about u, hope u r good and life is calm again.' In a 2012 email, Barrack referred to Epstein as his 'role model.' Their correspondence continued through approximately 2018, the year before Epstein's federal indictment.

In a 2016 email, Epstein wrote to Barrack asking him to 'make me smile' and to send a photograph of Barrack with a 'child.' The email is part of the released file set.

Separately from the Epstein matter, Barrack was charged in 2021 by federal prosecutors with acting as an unregistered foreign agent for the United Arab Emirates during the first Trump administration. He was acquitted at trial in 2022.

⚠️ Inclusion in this database means a person's name appears in the released Epstein documents in the context described. The DOJ's own February 14, 2026 letter to Congress explicitly states that names appear 'in a wide variety of contexts,' including unrelated press reporting fragments. Presence in a document does not establish criminal wrongdoing.
